Florida’s relentless UV exposure, salt spray, and humidity attack clear enclosure panels season after season. Without a dedicated boat enclosure cleaner, panels yellow, haze, and scratch — reducing visibility and resale value. EZ2CY® cleaning products are engineered specifically for the materials used in marine enclosures, not repurposed from automotive or household formulas.
Whether your boat has an ACRYLITE Plus rigid acrylic enclosure or a soft isinglass enclosure, EZ2CY® cleaning supplies are specifically engineered for the
The EZ2CY® Boat Cleaning Supplies Line
EZ2CY® offers a complete line of boat cleaning supplies designed to cover every stage of enclosure care, from routine maintenance to deep scratch removal. Here’s what the full system includes:
EZ2CY® Plastic Cleaner & Polish
This is your everyday boat cleaner polish and the cornerstone of your enclosure care routine. Specially formulated for EZ2CY ACRYLITE Plus panels, it removes static, restores optical clarity, and leaves a protective finish that is:
-
Anti-static — repels dust and salt particles between cleanings
-
Anti-fog — critical for visibility in Florida’s humid conditions
-
Water-repellent — rain and spray bead off cleanly, keeping sightlines clear underway
Initial and regular use of EZ2CY® Plastic Cleaner & Polish removes the static charge that attracts dust and makes every subsequent cleaning faster and easier. It’s not just a cleaner — it’s a protective treatment that builds up your enclosure’s defenses over time.

EZ2CY® Scratch Remover
Surface scratches are inevitable on the water. EZ2CY® Scratch Remover is a mild abrasive compound and a key part of the boat cleaning supplies system. It removes surface scratches, blemishes, oxidation, and heavy dirt buildup from all plastic and vinyl surfaces. After scratch removal, always follow up with EZ2CY® Plastic Cleaner & Polish to seal and protect the restored surface.
EZ2CY® Combo Kit
The EZ2CY® Plastic Cleaner & Polish Combo bundles both products together, giving you a complete two-step boat cleaning supplies system at the best value. For Florida boaters who want everything in one kit, this is the smart choice.
How to Clean a Boat Enclosure: EZ2CY® Full Care Guide
Great results come from good habits. Follow EZ2CY®’s recommended care routine to keep your enclosure performing and looking its best through every Florida boating season.
Step 1: Initial Care
When your EZ2CY® enclosure is new or after any deep restoration, apply EZ2CY® Plastic Cleaner & Polish to establish a clean baseline. This initial application removes manufacturing residue, eliminates static, and sets up anti-fog and water-repellent protection from day one. Use a clean, soft microfiber cloth for application and final wipe-down. Microfiber is the only material we recommend for direct contact with optical surfaces. Paper towels (even premium ones) have wood-fiber composition that creates fine scratches on ACRYLITE Plus acrylic panels over hundreds of uses, and the savings don’t justify the eventual panel damage.
Step 2: Normal Washing
After every day on the water in Florida, rinse your enclosure thoroughly with fresh water to remove salt. Salt residue is one of the biggest threats to enclosure clarity, and rinsing after each use takes only minutes but extends the life of your panels dramatically.
For more thorough cleaning:
-
Wash with a quality boat soap and a soft mitt reserved specifically for your enclosure
-
Rinse completely with fresh water
-
Use a squeegee or water blade with no sharp edges to remove water from the surface
-
Follow up with EZ2CY® Plastic Cleaner & Polish as needed to restore shine and protection
Step 3: Zipper Care
Zippers are a critical part of your enclosure system and need regular attention. Unzip and wash zippers with soap and water, then rinse thoroughly with fresh water. For especially dirty zipper tape, use a light solution of Woolite®-type fabric cleaner followed by a thorough fresh water rinse.
Important: Never use general-purpose lubricants like silicone spray or WD-40 on your EZ2CY® enclosure zippers. They attract salt and grime, accelerate zipper wear, and compromise the seal. Marine-specific zipper waxes (paraffin-based) like McLube SailKote can be applied sparingly every few months on YKK marine zippers if recommended by your installer.
Step 4: Scratch Removal
Most surface scratches can be removed by hand polishing with EZ2CY® Scratch Remover. Apply to a soft microfiber cloth and work in circular motions over the scratched area, keeping the surface slightly moist with clean water. For larger areas, an electric buffer may be used — keep it moving at all times, use light pressure, and keep the surface moist. Rinse the area thoroughly, then apply EZ2CY® Plastic Cleaner & Polish to finish and protect.
Step 5: Waxing
For added protection, wax your EZ2CY® enclosure with a quality auto paste wax. Avoid any wax that contains color additives, as these can stain or tint clear panel material. After waxing, wipe the surface with a damp microfiber cloth to remove any remaining static charge.
